Weekly tarot forecast - Dec 28 to Jan 3

Card images from the Hanson Roberts tarot deck:
Knight of Cups, Five of Swords, Ace of Rods
Here's your tarot forecast for the upcoming week. I am using the Hanson Roberts tarot deck for this reading.

Card1 - Knight of Cups: This card represents the key atmosphere or energy this week. Being a knight this represents forward movement, excitement and pursuit of something in the emotional realm.

The mood is romantic and optimistic with someone bringing a message of love and the promise of a bright future in your life. It could literally represent a lover for some people, a soulmate or someone with whom you have always felt a strong emotional connection. This is a good time for opening up to people, expressing your real feelings, showing affection and understanding and being materially and spiritually generous to people around you.

Card 2 - Five of Swords: This card represents your reaction to the energy shown by card 1 and here it shows a card of conflict and challenge. Swords are symbolic of problems related to thoughts, words and ethics. The fives in tarot all represent some kind of challenge experienced halfway through a phase in life. You may react to the optimism or positive energy of someone close to you with suspicion or a feeling of resentment based on past issues. You may want to snub friendly gestures, hold a grudge for something said in jest and in general react with hostility and unnecessary aggression.

Try not to scrutinize every little action of others under a magnifying lens and choose to focus on the bigger picture of life. Remember that tit for tat may not always be the right policy and some petty wins really are no more than a pyrrhic victory leading to regret and unhappiness in future. Try and achieve a win-win situation by choosing to act consciously instead of reacting unconsciously to events and words as if on auto pilot.

Card 3 - Ace of Rods: This card represents how things will progress. The Aces in tarot all represent a new beginning and as the Rods, or Wands as they are traditionally known, are symbolic of drive, ambition, passion and ego, the Ace of Rods signifies an opportunity in this realm that is still in the developing stage and has great potential to grow.

This week, proceeding directly after the Five of Swords and the feelings of conflict it often leads to, this Ace seems to represent a toughening of stance, ego issues on the rise and a general feeling of assertiveness that may turn to aggressiveness.

As is the case with this particular 3 card spread, your point of power and change is card number 2. Pay attention to your thoughts and actions this week and try to resist the urge to get swept along the current. Certain events may not be under your control but by being in control of your reactions to these events you can certainly change the direction of future events. Even if you are unable to do so entirely remain conscious of the consequences of your actions and the power you always hold within yourself in choosing to act a certain way.
Have a wonderful week!

Weekly tarot forecast - Dec 21 to Dec 27

Card images from the Rider Waite Smith tarot deck:
The Hanged Man, Three of Wands, Judgement
Here is your weekly tarot forecast. I am using the Rider Waite Smith tarot deck for this reading to get some insight into the energies at play.

Card 1 - The Hanged Man: This card represents the key theme or influence in your life this week. It signifies a time of stillness and lack of movement which could also mean stagnation for some. Things may seem to be moving at a very slow pace and without any real focus or direction. Infact the direction of energies may seem to be reversing at this time. If you have been very energetically involved in your pursuits so far you will find yourself being drawn to a less frenetic pace of life.

Some of you may experience a shift in perspective, especially with regards to your work situation. It is a time to look deep within yourself and decide where your priorities and happiness lie. It is also a time to let go and give up some measure of personal control for the sake of a higher cause such as a healthier lifestyle or harmonious personal relationships.

Card 2 - Three of Wands: This card represents your reaction to the energy of card 1. You seem to be agreeing here with the key message of the Hanged Man and standing still for the time being. You may want to assess your past accomplishments and build on those in future. Or you may want to look back at the past and the lessons learnt at an earlier time.

Overall your mood will remain upbeat and you will be confident about your abilities to create a better  future for yourself. This is a very good card for future growth and expansion so do not be afraid to grab opportunities and aim big.

Card 3 - Judgement: This card shows how things will progress. While the earlier cards showed a slower pace and a reflective mood, this one is about finally waking up to a powerful realization. It signifies a strong message being communicated to you, either by an external source or arising deep within you. As the week progresses you will come to know which direction to take and what path to follow. Things will become clearer and you will have an instinctive sense of what is right or wrong for you in your particular situation.

This card also represents some past issues or secrets coming to the fore. The revelation may happen either by another person or as a result of your own matured understanding of events in the past.

The Hanged Man and Judgement both being major arcana cards in tarot point to issues of significance this week. Things that have been in limbo or did not make much sense until now will begin to form a bigger picture by the end of the week. As you move from the 'not knowing' state of the Hanged Man towards the more 'knowing' state of Judgement, you will find your confidence and focus increase. Remain aware of the power of your actions as you progress from one milestone to the next.
Have a wonderful week!

Weekly Tarot forecast - Dec 14 to Dec 20

Card images from Robinwood tarot deck:
Seven of Pentacles, Two of Cups, King of Cups
Here's your tarot forecast for the upcoming week. I am using the Robinwood tarot deck for this reading.

Card 1 - Seven of Pentacles: This card represents the key theme or energy this week. As a Pentacles card it signifies issues concerning the material and physical aspects of life including health, homestead and money. The card suggests waiting for results of past endeavours and your expectations for the future. The seeds have been planted and watered and now you are waiting for the harvest.

The important thing to bear in mind when this card shows up is time. It is useless to fret and get impatient if you do not get the results you expected right away. The card is astrologically represented by Saturn in the house of Taurus, urging caution and maturity in financial matters. Things will unfold at an appropriate time and you will get what you desire when you are ready for it. It is not the time to give up but to plan ahead and assess your strengths and weaknesses in an area where you are hoping for improvement. There is progress and materialization of your efforts with this card but it is a matter of time.

Card 2 - Two of Cups: This card represents your reaction to the energy of the previous card and it shows harmony, cooperation and a positive mindset. If you have been waiting for a relationship situation to get better you are likely to see very positive results this week. Those in a long distance relationship will be able to connect in a deeper way. Meeting up with old friends or aquaintances is likely this week, the cards suggesting a period of wait followed by reunion.

With this card there is a shift in focus this week to important relationships and the need for a healthy exchange of ideas, words and feelings.

Card 3 - King of Cups: This card represents the outcome or how things will progress. The King of Cups may point towards someone who would play a key role in providing emotional support, guidance or direction to you at this time. It may also signify you in the role of a supportive partner, someone who can influence other people powerfully on an emotional level. The card can also point to a need for greater self control and negotiating adroitly through a tricky emotional situation using diplomacy and behavioural insight.

Overall it looks like the more powerful energies this week would be around relationship issues that may be rooted in the financial situation or emotional security of one or the other partner. Keep communication around these issues open and honest, and proceed with mature understanding of mutual needs and aspirations. Don't give up if things don't meet your expectations right away; being patient and staying committed at this time would pay vastly in future.
Have a wonderful week!

Weekly tarot forecast - Dec 7 to Dec 13

Card images from the Anna K tarot deck:
King of Pentacles, Nine of Pentacles, The Star
Here's your tarot forecast for the upcoming week. I am using three cards from the Anna K tarot deck for this reading.

Card 1- King of Pentacles: This card represents the key theme, influence or atmosphere this week.

The King of Pentacles brings a very strong and earthy energy to all matters in the physical and material realm. It may also represent a person who brings material and financial stability in your life, has a strong value system and focuses on practical matters. It could be someone who urges you to have realistic expectations and well defined goals in life. It could be a parent or a spouse or a long time friend, definitely someone you have a long term connection with and who feels obligated to motivate and direct you towards a certain life path.

Someone with these personality traits may play an important role in your life this week. It could point also to the sense of material and financial abundance you may feel at this time. There is an atmosphere of comfort, strength and stability in the areas of health, finances and home affairs.

Card 2 - Nine of Pentacles: This card represents your reaction to the energy shown in card 1. This is a card of basking under the sunlight. You are aware of the material blessings in your life and would be in a mood to luxuriate and take time out for yourself. There is contentment and a desire for the good things in life. Some of you may take advantage of this feeling to go on a shopping spree or indulge in personal care.

You may also want to march to your own beat this week and resist unsolicited injunctions and advice from people, especially from those close to you. While in personal relations you may want more space and freedom to do as you please, you will also be willing to give this freedom to your partner this week. Those who are living alone will feel good about the lack of responsibilities. Whatever your situation you will be very conscious of your individual likes and dislikes and value your privacy.

Card 3 - The Star: This card represents the way things will move as the week progresses. A very positive and happy card in this position which stands for hope, inspiration, self confidence and serenity of mind. While the first two cards point at the material abundance in your life and how gracefully you receive it, this card shows how material abundance leads you towards spiritual contentment and fosters generosity of spirit.

The Star is about knowing your vulnerabilities without feeling vulnerable and receiving riches without being possessive. It's about opening up to the positive vibrations in the universe and hoping for the best. As the week progresses you would learn to find inspiration within your heart rather than in external sources of joy.

Have a wonderful week!

Weekly tarot forecast - Nov 30 to Dec 6

Six of Swords, Queen of Cups, Wheel of Fortune
Card image is from the Rider Waite tarot deck
Here's your tarot forecast for the upcoming week using the Rider Waite tarot deck. This is a three card spread which shows the general atmosphere or energy this week, how you will react to this energy and what it may lead to.

Card 1 - Six of Swords: This card represents the general atmosphere this week and what opportunities or challenges may be in store for you. The card shows two figures huddled in a boat being carried ashore by another person.

At first glance this shows a journey by water but it could represent either a physical or an emotional or inward journey. The mood seems sombre but serene. As swords usually represent communication issues not much seems to be happening on that front. Communication may be low, people would go about their business without saying much to each other and things would progress at a slow but steady pace.

If you have been facing issues related to people management or communication expect things to start getting better now. You may also get a helping hand when you need it and will have inner strength and fortitude to handle minor setbacks or difficulties. You will find a way to move forward from a complex or difficult situation. This is also a card of healing so issues related to health and heart will get better.

Card 2 - Queen of Cups: This card represents how you would react to the energy represented by card 1. The Queen of Cups comes with a very receptive attitude that helps you to empathize with people and your own feelings and emotions. Your instincts at this time will be spot on and lead you to greater understanding of situations and chance events. You will understand the nature of opportunities offered to you and be ready to grab them. Creative ideas should be nurtured privately with great confidence and passion until it is time to reveal them to the world.

Let yourself be guided by your higher self this week rather than give in to petty human weaknesses such as jealousy, anger and personal prejudices and you will find much power within yourself to bring positive change in your life.

Card 3 - Wheel of Fortune: Card number 10 comes heralding a period of change in your life. You would find your priorities and mindset shifting by the end of the week, reflecting the changing outer circumstances. If you fear the change you may feel some unease or loss of control. However, if you accept it as a natural outcome of your actions and cyclical forces of nature you will find much to look forward to. Remain centred in the knowledge that time and life will help make sense of things that seem arbitrary in the immediate moment.

The cards seem to be suggesting gradual movement and growth this week which may manifest either physically or spiritually for you. Be open to the insights that come your way through self reflection or interactions with people, they may have an important lesson for you.
Have a wonderful week!

Weekly tarot forecast 23 Nov to 29 Nov

Card image from the Rider Waite tarot deck(from left to right):
Ace of Cups, Three of Pentacles, Nine of Swords
A note to readers of this blog:

Hello Friends,
I hope you have enjoyed the daily readings I have been doing here for some time. From this week I would be doing a weekly forecast using a three card spread. I will also share some of my past client readings from time to time for tarot lovers so we can learn new ways of reading the cards from each other.
Hope you find this new format interesting and useful. Do share your views/feedback in the comments section below and have a wonderful week!
Regards,
Katy.

Here's your tarot forecast for the upcoming week. I am using the Rider Waite tarot deck for this.

Card 1 - Ace of Cups: This card represents the overall theme, atmosphere or energy this week. It shows an opportunity in the realm of emotions, love, relationships and creativity being offered to you. It may be a new love relationship, friendship, renewal of emotional ties with someone in the past, feelings of affection for someone special or an atmosphere of joy and emotional abundance in your life. It may also point at an interest in creative pursuits or a desire for beauty and harmony around you.

Card 2 - Three of Pentacles: This card represents your natural reaction to the energy represented by Card 1. As it is a Pentacles card it suggests a practical, down to earth approach which expresses itself in physical and material aspects and is a reactive rather than an active force. It is a good card for expression of creativity in work affairs, team working and co-operation with people. However, the way you would relate to people will be impersonal and utilitarian rather than involve an emotional connection. You will provide able guidance and support where required but would tend to avoid going deeper and probing your own or others' feelings. Some may misunderstand your natural reserve at this time and find you unfeeling, self centred or preachy.

Card 3 - Nine of Swords: This card represents the outcome or how things develop, given the situation (card 1) and your reaction to it (card 2). As can be seen in the image your impersonal approach to relationships may lead to some mental conflicts as the week progresses. You may be misunderstood by people or find yourself embroiled in needless arguments or allegations. You may say something to someone without really meaning to and later regret it. Try not to imagine the worst if this happens because things will not stay this way forever. The card may also point to over analysis or too much thinking around an issue that you have been working on rather passionately. Try not to let negative thoughts mislead you into feeling powerless and losing faith in yourself.

Overall the week shows a high degree of emotional involvement in some areas such as work and personal relationships. Make sure to plan well and think through the details before beginning a project or task. It is also important to maintain your drive and focus especially in the latter part of the week when you are likely to give way to distractions. Think positive and see opportunities in the trivial challenges you encounter.
Have a great week!

Tarot card for Friday - Four of Cups

Today's card is the Four of Cups from the Universal Rider Waite tarot deck and it shows an opportunity coming your way.

Something interesting or valuable may come as a gift or as a result of your past endeavours. However, you must be in the right state of mind in order to make the best use of it. The person depicted in the card seems a bit out of sorts. May be it is disinterest, a lack of drive or fear of uncertainty that is the cause of this apathy. Ask yourself what is holding you back.

The card may also point to a temporary need for solitude and taking a moment to assess what life means to you. There may be a feeling of contentment or not having a reason to push yourself when you already have all that you need. However, just as opportunities often come without knocking at our doorstep, hard times also can make an appearance.

There is a sense of not knowing what to make of things that are offered today. But you may not feel the same way at some later date and so it is important to grab what is presented. Missed opportunities soon turn into regrets and nothing worthwhile is achieved without action. So take some time to think it over but do not lose a good opportunity.
Have a great day!
