Weekly tarot forecast - Dec 28 to Jan 3

Card images from the Hanson Roberts tarot deck:
Knight of Cups, Five of Swords, Ace of Rods
Here's your tarot forecast for the upcoming week. I am using the Hanson Roberts tarot deck for this reading.

Card1 - Knight of Cups: This card represents the key atmosphere or energy this week. Being a knight this represents forward movement, excitement and pursuit of something in the emotional realm.

The mood is romantic and optimistic with someone bringing a message of love and the promise of a bright future in your life. It could literally represent a lover for some people, a soulmate or someone with whom you have always felt a strong emotional connection. This is a good time for opening up to people, expressing your real feelings, showing affection and understanding and being materially and spiritually generous to people around you.

Card 2 - Five of Swords: This card represents your reaction to the energy shown by card 1 and here it shows a card of conflict and challenge. Swords are symbolic of problems related to thoughts, words and ethics. The fives in tarot all represent some kind of challenge experienced halfway through a phase in life. You may react to the optimism or positive energy of someone close to you with suspicion or a feeling of resentment based on past issues. You may want to snub friendly gestures, hold a grudge for something said in jest and in general react with hostility and unnecessary aggression.

Try not to scrutinize every little action of others under a magnifying lens and choose to focus on the bigger picture of life. Remember that tit for tat may not always be the right policy and some petty wins really are no more than a pyrrhic victory leading to regret and unhappiness in future. Try and achieve a win-win situation by choosing to act consciously instead of reacting unconsciously to events and words as if on auto pilot.

Card 3 - Ace of Rods: This card represents how things will progress. The Aces in tarot all represent a new beginning and as the Rods, or Wands as they are traditionally known, are symbolic of drive, ambition, passion and ego, the Ace of Rods signifies an opportunity in this realm that is still in the developing stage and has great potential to grow.

This week, proceeding directly after the Five of Swords and the feelings of conflict it often leads to, this Ace seems to represent a toughening of stance, ego issues on the rise and a general feeling of assertiveness that may turn to aggressiveness.

As is the case with this particular 3 card spread, your point of power and change is card number 2. Pay attention to your thoughts and actions this week and try to resist the urge to get swept along the current. Certain events may not be under your control but by being in control of your reactions to these events you can certainly change the direction of future events. Even if you are unable to do so entirely remain conscious of the consequences of your actions and the power you always hold within yourself in choosing to act a certain way.
Have a wonderful week!

Weekly tarot forecast - Dec 21 to Dec 27

Card images from the Rider Waite Smith tarot deck:
The Hanged Man, Three of Wands, Judgement
Here is your weekly tarot forecast. I am using the Rider Waite Smith tarot deck for this reading to get some insight into the energies at play.

Card 1 - The Hanged Man: This card represents the key theme or influence in your life this week. It signifies a time of stillness and lack of movement which could also mean stagnation for some. Things may seem to be moving at a very slow pace and without any real focus or direction. Infact the direction of energies may seem to be reversing at this time. If you have been very energetically involved in your pursuits so far you will find yourself being drawn to a less frenetic pace of life.

Some of you may experience a shift in perspective, especially with regards to your work situation. It is a time to look deep within yourself and decide where your priorities and happiness lie. It is also a time to let go and give up some measure of personal control for the sake of a higher cause such as a healthier lifestyle or harmonious personal relationships.

Card 2 - Three of Wands: This card represents your reaction to the energy of card 1. You seem to be agreeing here with the key message of the Hanged Man and standing still for the time being. You may want to assess your past accomplishments and build on those in future. Or you may want to look back at the past and the lessons learnt at an earlier time.

Overall your mood will remain upbeat and you will be confident about your abilities to create a better  future for yourself. This is a very good card for future growth and expansion so do not be afraid to grab opportunities and aim big.

Card 3 - Judgement: This card shows how things will progress. While the earlier cards showed a slower pace and a reflective mood, this one is about finally waking up to a powerful realization. It signifies a strong message being communicated to you, either by an external source or arising deep within you. As the week progresses you will come to know which direction to take and what path to follow. Things will become clearer and you will have an instinctive sense of what is right or wrong for you in your particular situation.

This card also represents some past issues or secrets coming to the fore. The revelation may happen either by another person or as a result of your own matured understanding of events in the past.

The Hanged Man and Judgement both being major arcana cards in tarot point to issues of significance this week. Things that have been in limbo or did not make much sense until now will begin to form a bigger picture by the end of the week. As you move from the 'not knowing' state of the Hanged Man towards the more 'knowing' state of Judgement, you will find your confidence and focus increase. Remain aware of the power of your actions as you progress from one milestone to the next.
Have a wonderful week!

Weekly Tarot forecast - Dec 14 to Dec 20

Card images from Robinwood tarot deck:
Seven of Pentacles, Two of Cups, King of Cups
Here's your tarot forecast for the upcoming week. I am using the Robinwood tarot deck for this reading.

Card 1 - Seven of Pentacles: This card represents the key theme or energy this week. As a Pentacles card it signifies issues concerning the material and physical aspects of life including health, homestead and money. The card suggests waiting for results of past endeavours and your expectations for the future. The seeds have been planted and watered and now you are waiting for the harvest.

The important thing to bear in mind when this card shows up is time. It is useless to fret and get impatient if you do not get the results you expected right away. The card is astrologically represented by Saturn in the house of Taurus, urging caution and maturity in financial matters. Things will unfold at an appropriate time and you will get what you desire when you are ready for it. It is not the time to give up but to plan ahead and assess your strengths and weaknesses in an area where you are hoping for improvement. There is progress and materialization of your efforts with this card but it is a matter of time.

Card 2 - Two of Cups: This card represents your reaction to the energy of the previous card and it shows harmony, cooperation and a positive mindset. If you have been waiting for a relationship situation to get better you are likely to see very positive results this week. Those in a long distance relationship will be able to connect in a deeper way. Meeting up with old friends or aquaintances is likely this week, the cards suggesting a period of wait followed by reunion.

With this card there is a shift in focus this week to important relationships and the need for a healthy exchange of ideas, words and feelings.

Card 3 - King of Cups: This card represents the outcome or how things will progress. The King of Cups may point towards someone who would play a key role in providing emotional support, guidance or direction to you at this time. It may also signify you in the role of a supportive partner, someone who can influence other people powerfully on an emotional level. The card can also point to a need for greater self control and negotiating adroitly through a tricky emotional situation using diplomacy and behavioural insight.

Overall it looks like the more powerful energies this week would be around relationship issues that may be rooted in the financial situation or emotional security of one or the other partner. Keep communication around these issues open and honest, and proceed with mature understanding of mutual needs and aspirations. Don't give up if things don't meet your expectations right away; being patient and staying committed at this time would pay vastly in future.
Have a wonderful week!

Weekly tarot forecast - Dec 7 to Dec 13

Card images from the Anna K tarot deck:
King of Pentacles, Nine of Pentacles, The Star
Here's your tarot forecast for the upcoming week. I am using three cards from the Anna K tarot deck for this reading.

Card 1- King of Pentacles: This card represents the key theme, influence or atmosphere this week.

The King of Pentacles brings a very strong and earthy energy to all matters in the physical and material realm. It may also represent a person who brings material and financial stability in your life, has a strong value system and focuses on practical matters. It could be someone who urges you to have realistic expectations and well defined goals in life. It could be a parent or a spouse or a long time friend, definitely someone you have a long term connection with and who feels obligated to motivate and direct you towards a certain life path.

Someone with these personality traits may play an important role in your life this week. It could point also to the sense of material and financial abundance you may feel at this time. There is an atmosphere of comfort, strength and stability in the areas of health, finances and home affairs.

Card 2 - Nine of Pentacles: This card represents your reaction to the energy shown in card 1. This is a card of basking under the sunlight. You are aware of the material blessings in your life and would be in a mood to luxuriate and take time out for yourself. There is contentment and a desire for the good things in life. Some of you may take advantage of this feeling to go on a shopping spree or indulge in personal care.

You may also want to march to your own beat this week and resist unsolicited injunctions and advice from people, especially from those close to you. While in personal relations you may want more space and freedom to do as you please, you will also be willing to give this freedom to your partner this week. Those who are living alone will feel good about the lack of responsibilities. Whatever your situation you will be very conscious of your individual likes and dislikes and value your privacy.

Card 3 - The Star: This card represents the way things will move as the week progresses. A very positive and happy card in this position which stands for hope, inspiration, self confidence and serenity of mind. While the first two cards point at the material abundance in your life and how gracefully you receive it, this card shows how material abundance leads you towards spiritual contentment and fosters generosity of spirit.

The Star is about knowing your vulnerabilities without feeling vulnerable and receiving riches without being possessive. It's about opening up to the positive vibrations in the universe and hoping for the best. As the week progresses you would learn to find inspiration within your heart rather than in external sources of joy.

Have a wonderful week!
